I recently visited a fish and chip takeaway while in Taupō, and it was such a delightful experience! Right from the moment I walked in, I was struck by how fresh everything looked. The staff were friendly and eager to help, recommending the battered fish, which they said was a customer favourite. I went for the option with a side of kumara chips, and I must say, it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The fish was perfectly cooked, golden and crispy on the outside, yet so tender and flaky inside. The kumara chips were a fantastic addition, providing a sweet contrast to the savoury fish. My only small critique would be that the seating could be a bit more comfortable, as there weren’t many spots to sit and enjoy my meal. However, it’s definitely a place I’d return to for takeaways, and I highly recommend it if you love great fish and chips!

Wow! I had the most amazing fish and chips experience recently! The fish was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection, with a lovely crunchy batter that just melted in my mouth. I also loved the portion sizes; they were generous and satisfying. Plus, the service was super quick, which is a massive plus when you’re hungry! I didn't get a chance to try many other items on the menu but I’ll certainly be going back for more. One tiny suggestion would be to have more sauces available, as I’m quite a fan of dipping! Overall, a fantastic spot for a quick takeaway!
